Author Bio:

Liza Roberts is a journalist in Raleigh, NC. She is the founding editor and general manager of Walter magazine, a graduate of Hamilton College and Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, and spent several years covering business news for Bloomberg News, CNBC, and CBS MarketWatch before focusing on art and culture, and founding a magazine that showcased it. While covering art for Walter, she became convinced that a book about the remarkable contemporary art of our state was long overdue, and is honored to have had the opportunity to write it.

“The Art of the State: Celebrating the Visual Art of North Carolina” was released this Fall and is a beautiful and informative volume that illustrates the vitality and importance of North Carolina's contemporary art scene, showcasing the creation, collection, and celebration of art in all its richness and diversity.
