Director of Visitor and Retail Experience at the North Carolina Museum of Art
Biography:
I am lucky to serve the people of North Carolina as the Director of Visitor and Retail Experience at the North Carolina Museum of Art. In this role, I lead a service focused team with a passion for art, community and uplifting artists and artisans from across our great state. A large part of my life has been spent in philanthropic efforts and what I do at the Museum allows this focus to be part of my work life, as well. I hope to create and leave a legacy of welcoming and belonging. Curiosity sparks my days and I love to read, challenge myself and of course, listen to podcasts!
The work below is from the People's Collection at the NCMA. Karl Schmidt-Rottluff’s Portrait of Emy presents a woman with amazing expression and color. It has always been special to me because of the different stories that visitors can create as they view it. I feel connected to subject and find inspiration to be creative and purposeful when contemplating it. I hope all can be inspired when walking through our galleries.
